Renal Artery Fibromuscular Dysplasia

OBJECTIVES: Describe the work up and treatment of renal artery fibromuscular dysplasia for medication resistant hypertensionMETHODS: Investigation was carried out with renal artery duplex and abdominal CTA. Intervention included diagnostic angiography and treatment with balloon angioplasty.
RESULTS: Successful treatment of renal artery fibromuscular with balloon angioplasty with complete cessation of hypertension medications after intervention
CONCLUSIONS: Renal artery fibromuscular dysplasia can be effectively treatment with angioplasty with excellent results
