Donna Bahroloomi, MD, Jared Zhang, Donald Baril, Ali Azizzadeh.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, USA.

Objectives: A 31 male with history of Ehlers Danlos syndrome, presented with symptomatic left renal vein compression secondary to Nutcracker Syndrome. Methods: We elected to perform a left renal vein transposition with bovine pericardial patch and stent placement via left retroperitoneal approach. Results: The procedure was tolerated well and the patient was discharged home on postoperative day three. Conclusion: Left renal vein transposition with bovine pericardial patch and stent placement is a usefule method for treatment of nutcracker syndrome. Utilization of bovine pericardial patch and stent during revascularization helps to prevent left renal vein stenosis in the future.
